Dates: 5 Classes from Mar 31st-May 5th
Break week: *No class on April 28th
Schedule:
Week 1: Intro & Throwing teacups and saucers

Week 2: Trimming and Adding Handles
Learn how to refine your leather-hard pieces through trimming, shaping, and smoothing using professional pottery tools. This session focuses on adding handles to your teacups.
Week 3: Building your Teapot
This session shifts focus from the wheel to handbuilding techniques. You’ll learn how to construct a teapot from start to finish, with guidance on form, balance, and functionality. Your instructor will cover key considerations such as spout placement, lid fit, and assembling multiple components into a well-designed, functional piece.
Week 4: Perfecting your teapot
With your teapot now partially dried, you’ll refine its surface, address any imperfections, and add final details. You will also have the opportunity to paint details using underglaze paints, if desired, to add your individual artistic touch.

Rest those hands! Your work will be dried and bisque-fired by our staff.
