Who is this class for?
This 3 week wheel course is for students who have throwing experience and are ready for a new challenge.
Lidded pots take careful measuring, planning and finishing, and this class walks you through each step. It’s perfect if you’re looking to:
- learn how to throw lids and pots that fit together
- practice measuring and planning your forms
- try new trimming techniques, like adding knobs and handles to lids
- learn how to glaze lidded pieces so the lids don’t stick
If you know the basics of centring and throwing and want a project that pushes your skills, this class is for you!

Week 2: Trimming & Fitting
Trim your leather-hard pots and lids, check the fit, and make small adjustments. You’ll also learn how to add a knob or handle to finish your lid.
Week Off
