MICA Terra Sigillata from Clay Art Center is a ultra fine clay slip that when burnished creates a very smooth and waxy surface. This smooth surface is ideal for decoration, especially with smoke firing and other alternative firings. The surface will hold it’s sheen up to Cone 01 but the best surface texture is achieved between Cone 012-06. May also be used as an engobe up to Cone 10.
