This body is a very smooth, plastic clay with no grog or coarse fireclay in the formula. It is designed for throwing but can also be used for handbuilding when a smooth, clean surface is required. The addition of a small amount of Granular Manganese produces an attractive speckled effect. Contains 5% 100-mesh Kyanite to aid with drying and warpage. Fires a slightly gray white @ Cone 6 keeping glazes bright: a good compromise between stoneware and porcelain.
