Using speed screens, underglazes, and gelli plate techniques, you'll learn how to screen print on pre-made bisqueware using detailed designs, imagery, and textures to create one-of-a-kind ceramics!

  • This workshop is perfect for potters of all skill levels. No experience needed!
  • Rebecca will guide you through the entire process, sharing tips and creative approaches that you can continue using in your own pottery practice.
  • *Experienced potters are welcome to bring their own bisque-fired pieces to decorate and experiment with during the workshop.
What to Expect:

During this hands-on workshop, you'll explore the process of screen printing on clay using AMACO Velvet Underglaze Inks, Speedball Speed Screens and gelli plates.

Throughout the class, you'll:

  • Learn how to transfer screen-printed designs onto bisque-fired ceramic dishes supplied by Amaranth, or onto your own bisque-fired pottery.
  • Experiment with layering imagery, mixing colours, and creating unique compositions.
  • Discover techniques for achieving crisp, vibrant prints and how firing affects the final results.

By the end of the workshop, you'll have created a collection of uniquely decorated ceramic dishes (or your own pottery pieces) ready for firing, along with the skills and confidence to continue exploring screen printing on clay in your own studio practice.

Rebecca is an enthusiastic maker who loves exploring new ways to express herself with pottery!

With almost three decades of experience in creating art through different mediums including metal-smithing, painting and collage, and creative textiles, she brings to her craft, her love for nature and a curiosity for learning new techniques.

For the past twenty years, she has taught across the Kingston area in a variety of disciplines. Her classes are known for their fun and inclusive atmosphere, where both beginners and experienced artists can unleash their creativity and feel inspired to explore new techniques.
