Class Policy

We want you and everyone in class to have a swell time! So here are our class policies, designed with everyone's best interests in mind:

Studio Etiquette

• Please be respectful and supportive of your fellow students and instructors. Everyone learns at their own pace.
  
• Clean up your workspace as best as possible at the end of class.
  
• Check out this quick wheel clean-up video for tips.
  
• Classes begin at the scheduled time.
  
• Please arrive 5-10 minutes early so you have time to settle in before we start.
• Pro tip: Pottery and long nails don't go well together. We recommend giving your nails a trim before class.
  
• Full payment is required to reserve your spot and must be completed before the first class begins.

Cancellation Policy

• 5 or more days before the first class: You will receive 100% studio credit toward a future class, workshop, or store purchase.
  
• Less than 5 days before the first class: Credit will be issued only if we are able to fill your spot.
  
• If the spot cannot be filled, the registration fee is forfeited. You are welcome to send a friend in your place!

• Specialty & Guest Artist Classes & Workshops are non-refundable.
  By registering, you are agreeing to this policy.
  

Missed Classes / No Shows

• Missed classes cannot be refunded. If you miss a class, talk to our staff to discuss your options. We will try to accommodate when possible, but this is not guaranteed.
  

Studio Cancellations

• If Amaranth Stoneware cancels a class due to weather, illness, or low enrollment, participants will be offered either a rescheduled class or a full refund.

Age Requirement

• Classes are open to participants 12 years and older. Please talk to staff before booking for anyone under 18 years-old.

We want you to have fun, relax, and get ready to GET MUDDY!

• Workshop pieces are typically ready 2–4 weeks after the workshop.
• Pieces from multi-week classes are usually ready 1–3 weeks after your glaze night.
• If you require shipping, please reach out to us to discuss your options.
• Students will be notified by email (sent to the registration email) when their pieces are ready for pickup. Please check your junk/spam folder, just in case.
• We also post updates when work is unloaded from the kiln on our “Are My Pots Ready?” Pickup Page, organized by class & workshop dates.
• Pieces left more than 1 month after you've been notified will be donated or put up for adoption.

If you’re booking a class or workshop on someone else’s behalf, please note that all correspondence will be sent to the email address on the account the booking was made under.

If a class is postponed or cancelled, we will contact the email or phone number on the account/booking.

You can provide the participant’s name and contact information when checking out by adding an order note:
Add the class → Click the CART (top right corner)→ Select “+ Add order notes” near the bottom of the cart's page.
