The RU3 Rump Shaper Bowl Rib can be used in three ways, making this a great shaping tool for shallow forms such as bowls and plates. The edges are beveled, allowing for smooth shaping so the surfaces of your pieces are more compressed and can hold their shape more easily. The sloping backside, or rump, is great for shaping the outer surfaces of your piece and ends with a notch that can create a flat-sided foot. The round edge can be used to easily shape a base or rim and replace the need for trimming.
