Interested in a Private Wheel Workshop?

• We can host parties any day of the week! Check our Class Calendar to see potential available dates. *Please note: Private Wheel Workshops cannot be scheduled while another wheel class is in session.

• Private Wheel Workshops are offered for a flat fee, which covers up to 6 guests.

• Smaller groups are welcome; however, the flat fee remains the same for parties of fewer than 6.

• We can accommodate up to 9 students total, with an additional per-person fee for each guest beyond 6.

Schedule

We will begin with a demonstration, then we'll get right to throwing! We'll provide all of the equipment, tools, glaze and firings. The teacher will be there to provide guidance and assistance. We aim to create 1-3 pieces each!

Our workshops are designed to run for 1.5 hours + 30 mins for clean-up. Students are responsible for clean-up. If you would like to organize a longer timeframe, just let us know!

If your group wants to keep the mess to a minimum and would prefer making a particular clay project, we offer private handbuilding workshops too! Check out more information here!

Glaze 

• We'll take care of the glazing, all you have to do is choose from our colour options! 
• Your masterpieces will be ready in 3-5 weeks
• We will notify the booking customer via email when your creations come out of the kiln!
  

Class Policy

We want you and everyone in class to have a swell time! So here are our class policies, designed with everyone's best interests in mind:

Studio Etiquette

• Please be respectful and supportive of your fellow students and instructors. Everyone learns at their own pace.
  
• Clean up your workspace as best as possible at the end of class.
  
• Check out this quick wheel clean-up video for tips.
  
• Classes begin at the scheduled time.
  
• Please arrive 5-10 minutes early so you have time to settle in before we start.
• Pro tip: Pottery and long nails don't go well together. We recommend giving your nails a trim before class.
  
• Full payment is required to reserve your spot and must be completed before the first class begins.

Cancellation Policy

• 5 or more days before the first class: You will receive 100% studio credit toward a future class, workshop, or store purchase.
  
• Less than 5 days before the first class: Credit will be issued only if we are able to fill your spot.
  
• If the spot cannot be filled, the registration fee is forfeited. You are welcome to send a friend in your place!
  

Missed Classes / No Shows

• Missed classes cannot be refunded. If you miss a class, talk to our staff to discuss your options. We will try to accommodate when possible, but this is not guaranteed.
  

Studio Cancellations

• If Amaranth Stoneware cancels a class due to weather, illness, or low enrollment, participants will be offered either a rescheduled class or a full refund.
  

Age Requirement

• Classes are open to participants 12 years and older. Please talk to staff before booking for anyone under 18 years-old.
  

Pottery Pickup

• We will contact students by email when pottery has been fired and is ready for pickup.
  
• Updates are also posted on the “Are My Pots Ready?” page on our website.
• Due to the nature of clay and the firing process, we cannot guarantee the final outcome of any piece. While we take great care with all work, warping, cracking, or breakage can occur.
  

We want you to have fun, relax, and get ready to GET MUDDY!

• Workshop pieces are typically ready 2–4 weeks after the workshop.
• Pieces from multi-week classes are usually ready 1–3 weeks after your glaze night.
• If you require shipping, please reach out to us to discuss your options.
• Students will be notified by email (sent to the registration email) when their pieces are ready for pickup. Please check your junk/spam folder, just in case.
• We also post updates when work is unloaded from the kiln on our “Are My Pots Ready?” Pickup Page, organized by class & workshop dates.
• Pieces left more than 1 month after you've been notified will be donated or put up for adoption.
