En Plein Air doesn't have to be restricted to painting.
Let's bring pottery outside this spring! Get some vitamin D on your skin and celebrate the beautiful weather (when it does happen).
Here are some of our favourite ways to bring pottery outside with us:
1) Light a fire! Both Raku and Saggar firings can easily be done outside and you'll have a blast seeing what emerges from the flames. We have upcoming classes in both in May & June, so keep your eyes peeled!
2) Make Stamps! Bring bits of clay with you on day trips, morning walks, and camping adventures. All you need to do is press clay into interesting textures or embossed items and let your creativity with pottery travel with you!
3) Throw outside! Some wheels are easily transportable especially the Shimpo Artista Wheel. If the weekend is looking sunny take the wheel outside and enjoy the singing of birds and fresh air blowing on your face while throwing forms. Clean up can be a bit easy too if you have a great hose 😉.
