At Amaranth Stoneware, we're Potters Helping Potters. Our retail store serves a vibrant community of artists, hobbyists, and makers. We provide the pottery tools, materials, and support they need to create.
Our small but mighty team is made up of passionate potters and creative individuals who love exchanging ideas, tips and laughs. We've created a pottery community, a place to be creative and have fun.
We're looking for an enthusiastic, customer-focused Retail Associate to join our team.
If you enjoy helping people, learning new things, and don't mind getting a little clay on your hands, we'd love to hear from you.
About the Role
As a Retail Associate, you'll be helping customers find the right products, answering their questions, and assisting in their creative journey.
This role combines customer service, retail operations, online order fulfillment, and inventory support. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, comfortable with technology, and excited to learn about pottery and ceramic supplies.
What You'll Do

Deliver exceptional customer service; in-store, online, and over the phone

Assist customers with pottery supplies, tools, and other product selections

Process transactions using our point-of-sale system

Pick, pack, and fulfill online orders

Receive shipments and restock inventory

Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming retail environment

Assist with inventory counts and stock management

Support studio activities, classes, workshops, and special events

Contribute to a positive, collaborative team culture
What We're Looking For:
Required Qualifications

Previous retail or customer service experience

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Comfortable using new computer systems and software

Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities

Dependable, self-motivated, and team-oriented

Available to work daytime shifts both during the week and on weekends
Preferred Qualifications

Interest in pottery, ceramics, or other creative pursuits

Experience with Shopify, Canva, and/or Google Workspace
-
Knowledge of pottery tools, materials, or studio practices

Schedule
Store hours:

Monday–Friday: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Saturday–Sunday: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
We are looking for candidates who are available on weekends and through the week.
