Choxils are a solid underglaze drawing medium like a chalk with the density of a pencil. Choxils are the diameter of a pencil and can be sharpened in most pencil sharpeners.
Directions: Draw directly on bisque. Cover with a clear glaze. Colours are brightest on white clay. Sharpen on a piece of bisque or in a manual pencil sharpener. Smooth with tissue for a pastel effect, use cross-hatching techniques for bolder colour and texture. If pitting occurs, lightly mist your decoration with water prior to glazing.
